Rape Crisis

Rape Crisis offers support and counselling all over the country. Their website has details for local groups and contacts. Their centres provide specialist and confidential services for women and girls who’ve experienced any form of sexual violence, at any time in their lives. The centres are women-led and offer a range of services in women-only safe spaces. Over half the centres also provide separate space and services for male sexual violence survivors.

NHS 

The NHS have resources to help at any stage. You can find them here at this link – Help after rape and sexual assault – or speak to your GP.

They also have Sexual Abuse Referral Centres (SARCs). They are a one-stop service, providing the following under one roof: medical care and forensic examination following assault/rape and, in some locations, sexual health services. Victim Support

Supportline: 08 08 16 89 111 – victimsupport.org.uk

Victim Support’s services are confidential, free and available to anyone who’s been raped or sexually assaulted, now or in the past. Their volunteers can visit you at home (if you want them to, and if it won’t put you at further risk) or somewhere else if you prefer. You can also talk to them on the phone, either at one of their local offices or the national Victim Supportline.

The Survivors Trust

The Survivors Trust have 124 member agencies based in the UK and Ireland providing information, advice, support and therapy to survivors. They work with victims and survivors of all ages, all genders, of all forms of sexual violence, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation, including support for partners and family members.

NAPAC

The NAPAC (National Association of People Abused in Childhood) are a national organisation focused on supporting adults who have been abused in any way as children. Most children who are abused don’t talk about it until they become adults and NAPAC supports survivors of child abuse when they’re ready to talk. 

Safeline

Safeline provides national helplines and online support (text, chat, email). Family members and friends of abuse survivors can also use Safeline’s services. 

RASAC

National Helpline:  0808 802 9999 (12-2.30 & 7-9.30) – rasasc.org.uk 

RASAC (Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre) provide a national helpline for survivors of rape and childhood sexual abuse (male and female), their families and friends. They provides emotional and practical support.
